757 Startup Studios, a new hub for entrepreneurial growth and development, has officially opened its doors in the Assembly campus in Downtown Norfolk. This pivotal moment in the Hampton Roads entrepreneurial ecosystem is set to provide high-growth, early-stage companies with a range of resources, including rent-free tenancy for six months. The Studios is led by Hampton Roads native, Hunter Walsh, who brings exceptional energy and diligence to his role as Program Manager. The project, generously supported by TowneBank, Ferguson, the City of Norfolk, and Cox Communications, is an initiative of 757 Angels and 757 Accelerate, and aims to foster a vibrant, inclusive community full of energy and inspiration to support startups and founders.

757 Angels and 757 Accelerate are pleased to announce the opening of 757 Startup Studios on May 21st. 757 Startup Studios is located inside the new Assembly campus in Downtown Norfolk. Hampton Roads native Hunter Walsh has been hired to lead 757 Startup Studios which will provide interconnected, inclusive, and impactful programming for the Studios inaugural 12 tenants. Each early-stage, high-growth company will receive six months of rent-free tenancy, with the ability to apply for another six months if individual company milestones are reached. The Studios space was generously provided by TowneBank, Ferguson, the City of Norfolk, and Cox Communications.

Hunter Walsh’s Background

“I am so excited to welcome 12 founders into the Studios and activate a vision that has been years in the making,” said Walsh. The founders will have access to a large network of mentors, investors, subject matter experts, and other resources that come with being a part of the 757 Angels and 757 Accelerate. “Hunter brings exceptional energy and diligence to his role as Program Manager. His previous experience will provide enhanced community connections that will benefit the entire ecosystem”, according to Monique Adams, Executive Director of 757 Angels.

Hunter Walsh is a Hampton Roads native and graduate of Floyd E. Kellam High School in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Policy and Administration from James Madison University and received his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Virginia Wesleyan University. Hunter has led business operations and growth at Cullipher Farm, Inc. and most recently was with the Hampton.
