Norfolk startup Frontline GIG, a platform offering on-demand gig work for green jobs, has been chosen to partake in a 10-week virtual program run by Richmond-based Covintus Tech Tank. This program, known as the Batch 2 Cohort, is designed to help technology businesses enhance their growth potential. The accelerator program provides startup founders with the opportunity to learn from one another and from mentors, presenting their technology to investors, becoming enterprise-ready, and understanding how and when to evolve their tech offerings. Frontline GIG and the other selected startups will also compete for a $25,000 prize towards Covintus’ software development or technical consulting services, and will receive $5,000 for services upon completion of the program.

Program Participation
Richmond-based Covintus Tech Tank selected Frontline GIG in Norfolk and four other startups to participate in its Batch 2 Cohort program running Jan. 25 through April 1, according to a news release.
Accelerator Program
The accelerator program helps startup founders find solutions to their own tech challenges by sharing knowledge and experience with other founders and mentors. Founders learn how to present their technology to investors and stakeholders, become enterprise-ready with their tech offerings, and know how and when to phase features in and out.
Other Participants
The startups were chosen from a nationwide online application process. Other participants include: Edai in Richmond, ezClinic in Chicago, Lulu’s Local Food in Richmond, and Touchbase in Baltimore. Each startup can compete for $25,000 toward Covintus’ software development or technical consulting services in a Covintus Tech Tank Pitch Competition. For completing the program, each startup will receive $5,000 to use for services.
