Black BRAND, a renowned 501(c)(3) nonprofit, celebrated Juneteenth in style this year with events at the Slover Library for Freedom Festival 2023 and the 2nd Annual Juneteenth At The Beach at the 24th St. Stage on Virginia Beach.

Serving as the Regional Black Chamber of Commerce for the Hampton Roads and Dan River Regions, Black BRAND promotes group economics through professional development and community empowerment. This year, their Juneteenth celebrations beautifully encapsulated this mission.

Among the offerings were limited edition Juneteenth Black Audacity T-shirts and a code for a 10% discount on early-bird tickets to the Black Diamond Weekend. These exclusives added a unique twist to the celebrations and were welcomed by attendees.

Team LAMB, integral to the Juneteenth At The Beach festival, extended their gratitude to all who participated in the inaugural 2022 festival at Virginia Beach Oceanfront. The community’s support resulted in the event’s overwhelming success, demonstrating the power of unity.

The 2nd annual Juneteenth At The Beach festival was just as spectacular. Packed with activities, music, and entertainment for all ages, it was an exhilarating celebration of diversity, inclusion, and equality. Attendees had the chance to reconnect with friends and make new ones during the festive days of June 17th-19th at the 24th Street Stage & Park.

Black BRAND’s Juneteenth celebrations served as a reminder of the importance of community and the strength found in unity. The events were not just celebrations but symbolic gatherings that strengthened bonds, promoted empowerment, and honored history.
