Who are the companies you should be paying attention to in Hampton Roads?
It’s one of the questions we hear most often at Innovate Hampton Roads.
From investors looking for opportunities to professionals looking for their next career move, people want to know which companies are building something significant in the 757.
That’s why we created the IHR 200.
It’s a curated list of the region’s most promising privately owned companies, selected for their growth potential, innovation, and impact on Hampton Roads.
This isn’t a popularity contest or a ranking. It’s our effort to identify the companies worth watching, help them get discovered, and show the rest of the world what’s being built here.
Today, we’re adding seven more companies to that list.
Octaris Technologies is developing intelligence and data solutions for defense and commercial customers.
AREMCO is modernizing real estate asset management through technology.
Radian Forge is advancing metal manufacturing for the Navy and maritime industrial base.
Regulus Global is delivering equipment and logistics solutions for demanding missions around the world.
PlayYourCourt is connecting tennis and pickleball players with coaching and communities nationwide.
Where2Wheel is using technology to connect off-road enthusiasts with places to explore.
Iron Sheepdog is transforming construction trucking through software that connects contractors, drivers, and payments.
These companies operate in very different industries, but they share something important. They’re building businesses with the potential to grow well beyond Hampton Roads.
And we’re already seeing what that can look like.
Yellow Dog Software, an existing IHR 200 company, was recently acquired by Fraxion after building its inventory management business in Norfolk.
That’s why this list matters.
The more we identify and elevate these businesses, the easier it becomes for investors to find opportunities, talent to find careers, and the broader business community to see the economic potential of Hampton Roads.
We started with 20 companies in April. Today, the IHR 200 features 28, with more to come as we work toward 200.
The companies are here. We’re making sure people know who they are.
Explore the IHR 200 and discover who’s building in the 757.
