THE “SPRAY AND PRAY” CAREER FAIR IS OVER.

Transitioning is a multi-front battle. For the Veteran: You struggle to translate command authority into corporate language. For the Spouse: You are tired of the “trailing spouse” narrative. You face resume gaps from PCS moves and are often overqualified for the roles you’re offered. The Stakes: Without a strategy, you risk leaving with a pocket full of business cards, no interviews, and no plan for a dual-income future.

NEXT: A Discovery Day is not a standard hiring fair. It is a tactical operation designed to validate both careers.

We have curated the region’s top employers using the DEAL Sectors (Defense, Energy, Aerospace, Logistics) to connect you with high-value targets like HII, Dominion Energy, and Amazon—companies that understand SkillBridge and Spouse Licensure/Portability.

THE PLAN (YOUR AGENDA)

We have split the day to maximize your results.

PHASE 1:MORNING OPS (09:30 – 12:00) Discovery & Filtering Enter the “Opportunity Floor.” If you match the skills, you don’t just chat—you sign the clipboard to secure a slot for the afternoon.

  • The Headshot Studio: Get a professional photo by Trish Allegre-Smith (Military Spouse Photography).
  • Station A (Jamestown): The AI & Document Lab – Essential for Spouses: Use AI to reframe resume gaps and translate volunteer leadership into corporate skills.
  • Station B (Game Room): Innovation HQ – Portable Careers: Explore entrepreneurship and remote business models with 757 Collab.

PHASE 2: THE BLACK BOX SESSION (12:00 – 13:00) The Convergence Lunch Join us in the Skybox for a “Town Hall” style boxed lunch.

The Intel: A “Flight Recorder” debrief featuring 6 alumni, including a Professional Military Spouse and an Entrepreneur, sharing unvarnished data on salaries, rejection resilience, and the “flight path” to success.

PHASE 3: AFTERNOON OPS (13:00 – 15:00) Execution & Closing The floor quiets down. This time is for intentional, scheduled conversations only.

  • Track 1: 15-Minute Scheduled Interviews (Talent Force).
  • Track 2: 30-Minute Strategic Advisory Sit-Downs (Leadership Cohort).

We don’t separate you by “Rank” or “Dependent status.” We separate you by Career Stage.

🔵 GROUP A: THE TALENT FORCE (Blue Lanyard)

  • Who: E1-E6 Veterans & Spouses Entering/Re-entering the Workforce.
  • Focus: Technical Skills, Trades, Admin, Healthcare, and Entry-to-Mid Level Roles.
  • Home Base: Main Ballroom.

🟡 GROUP B: THE LEADERSHIP COHORT (Gold Lanyard)

  • Who: E7-O6 Veterans & Professional Spouses (Directors/Execs/Specialized).
  • Focus: Strategic Leadership, P&L, Project Management, and Director Roles.
  • Home Base: Williamsburg Room (“The Skybox”).

SUCCESS (THE OUTCOME)

End State: By 15:00, you won’t just have a brochure. You will have a “secured follow-up,” a tailored resume from our AI Lab, and a clear path forward for the entire family.
