The City of Norfolk’s Department of Economic Development and the Economic Development Authority (EDA) has relaunched the Norfolk Small Business Technical Assistance Clinic. The EDA has received a Startup Grant for Norfolk Black and Latinx Businesses from the Rockefeller Opportunity Collective (ROC). The grant is designed to offer direct support, including business consulting, accounting, website development, e-commerce, branding and marketing to microbusinesses with 5 or fewer employees. Each eligible business, which must have a current city of Norfolk business license and black or Latinx ownership, can receive up to $4000 in professional services. The application process is on a first-come, first-served basis.
