There’s a palpable excitement in the air as the community gears up for the 2023 Community Impact Conference. This innovative two-day, two-track event is the brainchild of two pioneering organizations – Black BRAND and Volunteer Hampton Roads. The conference, scheduled for July 18th and 19th, is specifically designed to support businesses and community-based organizations committed to making a positive difference in their communities.

To be held at the bustling hub of Tidewater Community College’s Norfolk Campus, the conference promises to be an enriching experience full of learning and networking opportunities. This is your chance to rub shoulders with executive directors, board members, funders, and service providers from diverse organizations.

The goal? To equip you with the tools, resources, and contacts you need to move your mission forward.

**Day One: Setting the Stage**

Day one begins with a relaxed Meet and Greet session – the perfect chance to get to know your peers and build connections that could lead to future collaborations. But the real highlight of the day is the evening’s Fireside Chat, which promises to be a riveting discussion featuring three prominent figures:

  • Blair Durham, Co-Founder and President of Black BRAND, a regional black chamber of commerce that supports emerging and existing black business owners.
  • Philip Deng, the visionary Co-founder and CEO of Grantable, an AI-powered grant writing assistant for organizations of all sizes.
  • Stephanie Gorham, the inspiring President and CEO of Volunteer Hampton Roads.**Day Two: Dive into Learning**

Day two is where the work begins.

It’s a full day of learning, split into two tracks: the Corporate Track and the NonProfit Organization Track. Each track will feature a series of thought-provoking sessions covering topics ranging from ‘Strategy to Measurement: Proving Positive Social Impact’ to ‘Finance and Accounting for Nonprofits.’

This is your opportunity to absorb new ideas, gain industry insights, and challenge your current thinking – all essential ingredients for driving forward in our ever-evolving world.
